Who Are We? 

Hey everyone, welcome to dental Lightners! 
When we used to be in our first year, we used to find it very difficult to study those bigfat books 😕. And obviously we couldn't go throw the entire book a day prior exam. 
But unlike you guys we didn't had any other choice . We used  to mug up the whole text and vomit the next day . 
But you guys don't have to worry about it now 😁 .
We have created this blog solely with the purpose of helping all those dental students who are going  through same problems as we were going through in our first year! 

Here we provide concise , easy to understand ( even if you study at the the last moment) notes of different subjects! 

Now your next and most obvious question would be 

Why should we study your notes? Are they reliable?

Guys, we are students of one of the top most dental college of  India,Christian Dental College, Ludhiana. 
These notes are made from your  standard textbooks.

                   Today's Topic 

Today we will give you a breif introduction about Pulp and will provide you with the notes of pulp too . 
                        What is Pulp? 
Pulp is known as heart of tooth. Just like what heart is to the body , pulp is to the tooth . 
Pulp is a loose connective tissue occupying the Pulp Chamber and Root Canal in the root. 



          Characteristic OF Pulp 

Important characteristic features of pulp are:-
1.) It is a highly vascularised and innervated tissue . 
2.) It is mesodermal in origin 
3.)It develops from dental papilla
4.) There are total 52 pulp organs ;32 permanent teeth and 20 primary teeth . 
5.) Total volume of all permanent teeth pulp organ is 0.38cc
6.) Mean volume of a single human pulp is 0.02cc
